Glass Still Life

CA Bruehlmann took glass making classes in Seto, Japan and became friends with amazing glass artists. She was mesmerised by the gorgeous optics and fascinated by light refraction. Learning about glass stirred a desire to capture the essence through painting its still life form. Damigiane (large Italian balloon bottles) are perfect subjects due to their sizes, colours and beautiful shapes.
