Title: Te va de fa' na passeggiata per Roma con me?

Dimensions: 100 x 150 cm (width x height)

Medium: Acrylic, soft, lightweight, straight-grained softwood frame and hand made stretched flax fiber canvas.

I had ten hours in Rome. Ten hours of artisan shops and ancient stone and food that made me want to cry for different reasons entirely. A woman I had met afterwards, was born in Rome. She (Kiba) told me that when young lovers in Roma want to ask someone to be their sweetheart, they do not say, "Will you be my boyfriend or girlfriend?" They say, "Will you walk Rome with me?" I found that brilliant. Meanwhile, while I was in Rome, my husband had taken this photograph of me laughing in the hotel bathtub. This painting lives at the end of my Internal World because this is also what surviving looks like; a bathtub, a glass of something cold, a window of tolerance with stained glass throwing colour across the room, and someone who loves you enough to take your picture.

Price: CHF 7400
